Picnic Preparations

If you've attended the Lucchesi nel Mondo annual picnic, you're aware of the great raffle prizes we have in our Chinese auction. Our Vice President, Giuseppe Francioni, does a great job of organizing items donated for the auction. In the past, we've asked only officers and Board members to donate these items, which have traditionally been concert tickets, restaurant gift certificates, new household items, luggage, purses, jewelry, etc. This year, we're asking for donations from all of our membership. If you're interested in donating something appropriate and desirable for the picnic auction, please get in touch with Susan at 412-681-6898 or online at sdeluca64@hotmail.com. She'll arrange with you where and when to deliver items. If you care to participate, please notify Susan by August 15, in order for Giuseppe to have ample time to organize and label auction items.

Get your homemade wine ready for the wine tasting contest at this year's picnic. Wrap your bottle in foil. When it's entered in the contest, you'll be assigned a number, to keep your wine anonymous. Then cross your fingers and hope the judges select yours as numero uno.

Start stuffing your piggy bank to save your spare change for the picnic auction and 50/50 raffle. All proceeds from the auction are used to buy gifts for the children at La Festa della Befana. Come one, some all to the fun-filled annual picnic!
