The Regione Toscana gives to club members of Tuscan descent the possibility enjoy a wide range of opportunitied. 1 month in Viareggio learning Italian for young adults under 30 years of age, Internships to learn a profession and so on.
Learn Italian in Viareggio for 2 to 4 weeks
The candidate will enjoy a all inclusive sojourn in Viareggio learning Italian with other young people of Tuscan descent.
Requirements:
Be of proven Tuscan descent
Be Between the age of 18 and 30.
Have not participated in the past 5 years.
Posses a basic knowledge of the Italian language.
Deadlines are April 30, 2009 for Summer Classes, and August 31, 2009 for Winter Classes.

Scholarships
The Viareggio Program is open to all members' children or grandchildren 18-30 years of age who are of Tuscan decent. Interested students complete a simple application and produce a birth certificate, a passport and proof of Tuscan heritage (e.g. birth certificate of grandparent).
Room, board, tuition, and half of the airfare are paid by The Region of Tuscany. Our Pittsburgh Chapter of Lucchesi nel Mondo defrays the other half of attendees' airfare through proceeds raised by our "Dollars For Scholars" fundraiser.
The month-long Viareggio Program has been a life-changing experience for many of our young Tuscans. Each chapter of Lucchesi nel Mondo is entitled to submit two applications per year. Past participants and their current involvement are:
